Ample parking spaces, including coach parking as well as disabled access and toilets are provided. A small selection of local crafts and publications can be purchased. CEN staff are on hand to assist and will be happy to answer any questions you have in Gaelic/English. The centre can cater for parties of up to 60. Prior booking is essential for large groups.

Museum

The organisation achieved accredited museum status in 2010. The oldest and perhaps the most iconic artefact on display is the Ronan Cross which dates back to pre-Christian times. There are also many items pertaining to the island way of life.

Café

One of the aims of CEN is to provide a welcoming, inclusive and secure bilingual community hub for North Lewis where visitors are able to sit and chat over a cup of tea, coffee or a light lunch in a Gaelic/English environment. The café is open all year round Monday–Friday 11.30am–4pm (other times by arrangement). As well as the regular menu, we also offer a set menu option for larger groups.
